Why it exists
Lagoon Drift started as a two-week prototype to answer one question — can a racing game feel fast when the player only has one thumb and a bus seat? The answer turned out to be drift chaining. Hold to turn, release to snap the foil straight, and the boost you earn is exactly the boost you can survive.
Every circuit is a real reef pass: a narrow channel, a tide that shifts mid-race, and buoy rings that reward the racing line rather than the safe one. Races cap at eighty seconds, so a session fits into a lift ride and a season fits into a commute.

What makes it work
Drift chaining
One input, three depths of skill. Boost is earned from the length of a chain, not from a pickup, so the ceiling stays open for the players who stay.
Tidal circuits
Nine reef passes whose water level shifts across a race, opening shortcuts that only exist for about twelve seconds.
Ghost rivals
Asynchronous multiplayer against recorded runs from players on the same device tier, so the field feels alive without a matchmaking wait.
Sixty on a five-year-old phone
A locked frame budget and two quality tiers chosen from a device profile, validated on a rack of physical hardware before every release.
